It's important to be aware that fitness can set in as a dangerous addiction, even when we practice our deepest spiritual understanding on daily basis. I caught myself overtraining after spending days in meditation. We can never underestimate our habitual tendencies. Although spiritual knowledge, coupled with the guidance of our own hearts, can prevent exercise from becoming an unhealthy practice, it is my belief that we still need to surround ourselves with those who are on the path of “true health” to create the environment that will allow us to practice our virtues consistently.
