Inner peace requires that you start to listen and to act on what you hear. It is a multifaceted path where you work on self-love. Not the ego’s love. It is unconditional love. The reason we can’t love well those who are not in alignment with our own beliefs is becasue we don’t know how to love ourselves unconditionally.

We each contain within us our shadow side, the side that is clearly illustrated by those we encounter who agitate us. We need to love those parts of ourselves as well as the parts we like. We can work to change aspects of our self we don’t like but the starting point has to be self-unconditional love. We need to learn how to love ourselves before we can love others well.

Jesus (the ascended master—not the religious being) showed us what that perfect love is like. It is a wonderful goal to embody that feeling and to project it outward in our everyday life  —  says Theresa Joseph.
