— “I don’t have to do everything perfectly when there’s something I know needs to be done and can help people. Sometimes we’re so afraid we can’t be perfect, we get defeated. I was also scared to put mystical Jamie out there in writing because I’d only shown that side to those closest to me, but when I just bit the bullet, it was so empowering and I’m hoping others will feel empowered to show who they really are remembering they don’t have to be perfect. This action will move them to their North Star. Also, they don’t have to quit their jobs to find themselves and spend months in a cave meditating — They can start in a little morning ritual, unique to them that they create, and create a synergy to lift their energy. Most importantly, they need to stay here, do the work, and move through it so they don’t need to come back and do it again.”

As an English major at UCLA, Jamie fell in love with story to understand the human condition. As she read and told stories to her own children and her students, Jamie learned the power of stories to inspire, motivate, teach, and open hearts. She has written multiple titles for the children’s educational market, the adult non-fiction market, and has worked as a journalist, law-firm marketing director, second-grade teacher, licensed spiritual practitioner, filmmaker, professional mom, lifestyle blogger, and chatbot designer to bring life to those boring little widgets. Her current projects are bringing light to the world through her nonfiction book SHINE: When Chasing Sacred Spaces Goes Dark and her blogs spaguidesecrets.com (self-care) and Tasting Life jamieweilwrites.com for the epicurean adventurer.
