Healing Conversation #726

— Without Self-love and deep Acceptance of how things are, it is difficult to move forward, particularly when life sends us challenges. Without taking responsibility for the stories we make up in our heads about how things are, and owning our role in every relationship and situation we are a part of, we bypass opportunities to learn and author a better future for ourselves. Without understanding that our lives are a co-creation and acknowledging that we are loved, supported and helped – via nudges and well-timed, hand-selected gifts – by the Universe to achieve what we have come here to accomplish, the way forward can feel very lonely and difficult. Regrets and fears of the unknown, death being at the top of the list, can easily paralyze us from moving forward. To be human is to suffer, for the majority of us, and suffering often results in wisdom. We are here to become wise, so why resist?

Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Lisa Samet — the author of “Emotional Repatterning: Healing Emotional Pain by Rewiring the Brain.”

Lisa Samet, ND, is a well-known health practitioner who has appeared on the Dr Oz show to promote homeopathy and naturopathic healing. She has an international practice based in Montreal, specializing in homeopathy, emotional wellness, nutrition & lifestyle optimization. When emotional issues are an obstacle to healing, Dr Samet uses the Emotional Re-patterning techniques presented in her book to help patients uncover and rebalance the deep, subconscious beliefs that often underlie their unhappiness, "stuckness" and mental or physical pain. The results have been nothing short of life-changing! She has written this book to broaden access to the tools that she uses in her practice to help people change their perspectives, subconscious beliefs and ultimately suffer less!

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by 10 years in marketing with Proctor & Gamble, Dr. Samet realized that her real love was naturopathic healing. She received her Doctorate from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1998 and has been in private practice since then. Naturopathic healing focuses on prevention and using natural approaches to stimulate the body's ability to heal itself. The primary goals of the naturopathic approach are to address the cause of illness rather than simply treat or suppress symptoms, and to treat the patient as a whole – physically, mentally and emotionally - to regain optimal health.
