Self-Care Is The Solution: It's An Inside Job
Healing Conversation #834
— “Spiritual self-care is essential for the spiritually attuned individual. It is an area worth exploring if you are desiring expansion, deeper connection with all that is, and discovering your Divine purpose on this earthly plane. This can be done through mindfulness and meditation, practicing rituals of your faith and beliefs, attending spiritual workshops and retreats, seeking like-minded and like-hearted spiritual support, reading spiritual literature and through connection with nature. Spirituality is deeply personal and varies by individual. Part of the spiritual path is discovering yourself and your personal truths. Much can be gained through spiritual self-care practices.”
Suzie DeVaughn’s work provides an in-depth perspective on the categories of self-care including: physical, psychological, interpersonal/social, professional, spiritual, and energy management/clearing. It gives us awareness, inspiration, ideas, and techniques regarding the effective use of self-care as the foundation of healthy and mindful living. This helps to counterbalance personal and professional life stress resulting in increased resiliency, energy optimization, balance and wholeness.
What we need is a self-care movement in which each person loves, cares, and takes responsibility for one's self. By acknowledging and responding to our needs, we have more energy and compassion to help others. In this scenario, everyone benefits.
