Understanding the Patterns That Shape Your Life

Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Speaker

Healing Conversation #1378

— What if many of the struggles we face today—our relationships, self-doubt, anxiety, or the ways we cope with life's challenges—are rooted in emotional patterns that began long before we were aware of them? As children, we all have fundamental emotional needs, and when those needs go unmet, we often develop beliefs and protective strategies that help us survive but may no longer serve us as adults. In today's conversation, we'll explore the science of Schema Therapy and how understanding these deeply ingrained patterns can help us heal childhood wounds, cultivate self-compassion, build healthier relationships, and strengthen what therapists call our "Healthy Adult"—the part of us that can respond to life with wisdom, resilience, and love.
