“Sometimes we let life guide us, and other times we take life by the horns. But one thing is for sure: no matter how organized we are, or how well we plan, we can always expect the unexpected.” - Brandon Jenner

In this episode, Jill Kay talks about unexpected changes and how health and wellness can create a quality of life for us, both personally and professionally.

Before Jill Kay had her children, she worked in advertising. It was a great profession — very exciting, but also very stressful. When she had her first child, Jill left the business to stay home with him.

Later, she found herself a mother of two, going through a divorce and having to go back to work. Reestablishing her career in advertising wasn’t a viable option for a number of reasons, so Jill started looking for something she could do part-time — something she could do from home.

That’s when she began the Arbonne business. Along the way, she has made lifelong friendships, regained her confidence, and discovered that “work” can be a lot of fun! To read Jill’s full biography please visit fitforjoy.org/podcast

FULL BIO

Jill Kay of Chappaqua, New York, began her Arbonne business for the extra income and flexible schedule. Along the way, she has made lifelong friendships, regained her confidence, and discovered that “work” can be a lot of fun!

Before she had her children, Jill worked in advertising, producing TV and radio commercials. It was a great profession — very exciting, but also very stressful. She worked crazy hours (she could be on a shoot until 3:00 in the morning) and traveled a lot. When Jill had her first child in 1997, she left the business to stay home with him.

Fast-forward twelve years and she finds herself a mother of two, going through a divorce and needing to go back to work. Going back to producing wasn’t a viable option for a number of reasons. She’d been out of the industry for over a decade, and the traveling and long hours weren’t conducive to being a single mother. Jill started looking for something she could do part-time while her children were in school, or better yet, something she could do from home and work around both her children’s schedules and her life.
